Easter 2010

Easter 2010 was our first Easter as a family even though Kaelyn does not understand anything at this point we still enjoyed playing "the Easter Bunny" and spending the day with Family. Saturday before Easter we spent the day at Aunt KK and Uncle Kenny's church. They had an Easter Extravaganza at Chetz Creek and had games and bouncy things for the kids. After that we had dinner at my parents house, did Easter dinner early this year because Mom was heading out of town on Sunday morning. The whole family got together and listen to Bubba make fun of how Mom and Mrs. Leann are attached at the hip and they cant do anything with out each other. When Bubba gets on one of those funny spurts well lets just say he is hard to stop and he had all of us in tears laughing so hard at the table. For dinner mom made Prime Rib and Cheesy Mash Potatoes, some other things were on the menu as well but I cant remember all of them. The Prime Rib and Mash Potatoes were the best!
After Easter Dinner at my parents we then went over to Steve and Vanessa's so that the kids could dye some Eggs, this was an adventure in itself. We covered the kitchen table in newspaper and set up all the little different colored cups and we put Christian (Vanessa's little boy) at the table and then we put Kylee (Vanessa's little girl) in her bumbo on top of the table and then put Kaelyn in her bumbo on top of the table. Everything was going great, the girls had no interest or care into what was going on but Christian was enjoying himself when all of a sudden Kylee decides she is going to reach down and grab a hold of the newspaper and pull and in a blink of an eye the blue dye went all over the table, all over Christian, and all over the floor. All I could think was "Thank God it was not my kid" but after a few towels and a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser everything was okay, Christian finished dying the eggs while Kaelyn went in a swing and Kylee went and sat with her Daddy. On Sunday, Easter Morning, I woke up and made Brett breakfast and brought it to him in bed. "Yes I made Breakfast!" Then once I got the kitchen cleaned and Brett was awake and out of bed, we went in and got Kaelyn up from bed. We took advantage of having to wake her up because we know in the years to come it is going to be her standing on the side of the our bed tapping at us "Mommy, Daddy the Easter Bunny came". We got Kaelyn up and took her into see what the Easter Bunny had brought her, after she ate the book, mean mugged the bunny (Pappa and Nanna got her) and chewed on the ducky she was ready to eat some breakfast herself. We then began our adventures to meet up with the rest of the families. We started by going to Nanna Sylvia's house to meet Brett's Mom and Step dad and had some lunch there and then we adventured over to Nanna and Pappa's house and spent some time with them. We were going to try to make it to Nanna's sister's house but because there is only so much time in one day we were not able to make it.

Kristina's 21st Birthday

The days leading up to Kristina's 21st Birthday I think were more exciting to all the girls in the office than it was to Kristina.Rachael, Jennifer, Joanny, Robyn, Carla, Kristina Nurse, and I "The Click of Ron Sholes PA." had all thrown in to get her a limo and for all of us to go out and celebrate. She had no idea what we were doing that whole week, all she knew is that we were doing something and that we would be eating dinner. Nothing more was said! She hardly could stand not knowing what was going on, she would ask all the time trying to catch one of us off guard so that we would slip and almost say something. Even though it almost came out a few times we all did a pretty good job at keeping it on the DL! So March 17, 2010 finally arrived...and once again even though it was KK's birthday we all were more excited than she was. The day at the office seemed like it took forever....Finally 5 came and we all left our computers and began getting ready here at the office for our night out on the town. We locked KK in her office and she was not allowed to come out until we came and got her, because the Limo was picking us up at the office and we did not know when it was going to pull up. About 15-20 minutes before the Limo came we went in and gave her everything that she was required to wear all night. She was on the phone with Jerico (Her man) when we came in so that conversation had to end quick and the fun began. Not shortly after the Limo pulled up...did I mention it was a HOT PINK LIMO! When it first pulled up into the office I think all of us about died, it was a lit HOTTER than I expected (ha-ha). Everyone took a big deep breath because we thought we had finally pulled it off without KK finding out, when all of a sudden here comes Ron (Boss man) from the back of the office walking down the main hallway... "Yall got some Bling Bling out here" right as he is walking past KK's office, we all shhhhhhhhed him as fast as we could! Finally we let her out of her office and into the parking lot where she was very much shocked (I think)! The night only got better from there. We left the office and went to City Hall Pub (which I will add is owned by our Boss). We hung out at the Pub for a while enjoyed our reserved section and the music, dinner and of course some drinks! Once the night picked up for "Wine Down Wednesdays" the dancing began. Oh and did we dance! After a couple hours of fun we decided we were going to adventure over to Buffalo Wild Wings, which was a big mistake....we made it inside to get KK a glass of water and then right out the front door to the flower bed where she began the first session of....well we will just say getting sick. Wild Wings was packed shoulder to shoulder you could barley move in there, so we all loaded back into the Limo and adventured right back to where we began, the Pub. About midnight-one O'clock in the morning everyone returned back to work to pick up their vehicles, well for their DD's to pick them up and take them home! The next day at work was a very LLLOOONNNGGG Day!
A night we would not forget and memories made with the
Girls from the "Ron Sholes P.A. Click".

Uncle Kenny's Birthday

Kaelyn got to attend her first Birthday party and it was for her Uncle Kenny! Uncle Kenny turned 26 and we celebrated with dinner and cake at my mom and dad's house. We all had a great night, sharing stories and making memories. There is nothing better than being able to spend time with Family. Kaelyn loves her uncle Kenny that is for sure, even though he was a little scared to hold her when she was little, she has realized that he has the best shoulder to fall asleep on. Besides our singing as you can see in the last picture, Kaelyn as well of the rest of us had a great night celebrating Uncle Kenny's Birthday!

Craft Time

Vanessa who is my new Cousin-n-law and I have started
spending a lot of time together! She is married with two kids, she has a little boy named christian and a little girl named Kylee who is 9 months. It started by our husbands getting together and "saving the world" as they call it (playing X-Box) which left us with nothing to do....so we started making bows for our little girls. Your probably wondering why don't we just go buy them, well after looking at them online and shopping around for some we came to the conclusion that you will pay anywhere between 5-7 dollars or even more. So we started shopping around and googling on how to make these things ourselves, and come to find out it is cheaper for us to make them ourselves then it is for us to buy them already made! So now while the guys are "saving the world" we have craft time! We have started some new projects as well which include making dresses to go with the bows as well as starting a new one here soon and going to try to make some diaper bags. Who knows what projects will come next! It also allows Brett and I to spend time with an amazing family with amazing children which is always a great experience, there is always something new going on when we all get together. More adventures of Craft time and "saving the world" to come!

Kaelyn's Dedication

Brett and I made the decision to have Kaelyn dedicated at Mt. Zion, which is the church Brett grew up in and we have been attending since before we were married. Some people ask why do you get a child dedicated? The way I answer that question (my own opinion), is because we want Kaelyn to be raised in a church/christian home. Having Kaelyn dedicated is allowing that statement to be out spoken, Brett and I as Kaelyn's parents will be held accountable by our families and our church to make sure that Kaelyn is being raised in a christian home, and that we as her parents are staying on top of our daily christian walk as well. When Kaelyn is older and comes to know Christ on her own she will than have the opportunity to make her own decision to follow Christ but until then we as her parents are responsible for her growth with the Lord. The Day was amazing, besides her HATING the big, huge, gigantic dress she had on...everything was perfect. All of our families came out and supported us and our decision. All her G-parents, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Great G-Parents. The day was topped off with lunch with family at Outback! (Yummy)!

Visiting her Great Gma

Right before I had to go back to work, Kaelyn and I were able to take a trip to West Palm Beach to visit her Great Gma (my Gma Williams). Gma is unable to drive anymore due to some medical problems that she has in her legs. So my dad was going down there for one day so that he could help fix somethings around her house. Kaelyn and I went for the ride, it was an experience I will never forget and something that we will hold close to our hearts forever.

Valentines Day 2010

Our First Valentines Day was great, we got up had breakfast as a family and then headed off to church for the morning. After an amazing church service we then went out to lunch with family. Kaelyn had her new Valentines Day outfit on and her first Valentines Day bib! The day ended with us just spending the evening at home watching movies.

Maternity Leave-1st 6 weeks of Kaelyn's life

Maternity leave was amazing and WAY TO SHORT! There are no words that can explain waking up every morning to a healthy child, I remember I would just sit there on the couch or in the bed and stare at her for hours. At first the only thing I could say and think was "she is mine". It was almost like I could not grasp that I was a mom, and don't think I fully have. When I try to think about everything it holds it is too overwhelming. So needless to say I just took one day at a time.
(We had many Sleeping moments)

(Many awake moments)
